How We Met.
We met the modern way – on Bumble! It was the first week of January 2017. It was supposed to snow over the weekend, so our initial conversation revolved around what we’d each cook during our weekend we expected to be snowed in. Well, contrary to the major warning, we just got a dusting. We continued to message and I was just hoping he wouldn’t wait too long to meet in person. Luckily, Scott asked me out for brunch on Sunday. I already had brunch plans with a friend, so I quickly proposed dinner instead. We met at Verde Taqueria and had a great first date over tacos and margaritas. I knew this was a first date unlike any other. I like to tell people that we matched, we started talking, and we never stopped!

How We Fell in Love.
I knew Scott was special from our first date. Our first couple weeks of dating he just keep impressing me! With his communication, compliments, and thoughtfulness. I realized that I had fallen in love! Memorial Day weekend we were at the beach with Scott’s extended family of more than 50 people and it was one evening there while we were walking along the beach that he told me that he loved me! I think we both shed a few tears and had pretty strong feelings that we had something special!

The Proposal.
On our last night of a 4 day vacation to the Keys, we went bike riding, and ultimately watched the sunset from a dock. Scott suggested I take a few pictures (great distraction!) and then had to grab my hand a few times before I looked over to realized he was down on his knee asking me to marry him! I quickly said yes, was in awe that he had worked hard to design a ring while wrapping up his busy work season, and had stayed so cool during our trip! We went to dinner, shared the news with family and friends, then started planning our future!

Congratulations, Scott & Erin, and thanks to all the amazing vendors who helped bring the day to life!
