Congratulations, Joe & Mallory!

After meeting on Hinge, Joe & Mallory’s second date (after first meeting out for tacos and margaritas earlier that week) was a 20 mile bike ride. Joe said he knew he was in love with Mallory when one lazy Saturday morning they were just lying in bed and being goofy.  He said in that moment of laughing so hard, he thought about how the only other times he has been laughing like that or being just himself was around his family.  “I too share a similar experience and feel that when we are together we are just ourselves.”

The Proposal
It was on April 7, 2018 and it actually snowed that day.  We both were headed to Mallory’s parents house in Granville, OH for a breakfast. Mallory strolled right out of bed (had not washed her hair in like 3 days) and was wearing sweat pants and a cameo shirt. Joe, of course was looking really nice. I even asked Joe before we left our apartment why he was dressed so nice and he said he wanted to wear his new sweater he got that week because it was cold out.  We were late already and I didn’t really care or take much thought into it.  As we pulled down the street of my parents house (I drive fast) I flew by this HUGE fathead of Gracie (my dog) that had some signs that said ” I want to ask you a question” but I clearly did not see them and pulled into my parents driveway to see roses and an easel with poster board and pictures on it.  A lady popped out of the bushes and started taking pictures. I panicked because I knew what was happening right at that moment and all I could think about is OMG I look like crap!  Joe wanted to propose in Granville with my parents because I’m really close with my family.  It was such a special day and even Joe had asked his brother Will from Boston and his Mom from Buffalo, NY to fly in and enjoy the surprise too!
